Breaking News: Transfer Deadline Day

Transfer News:
I’m sure all the blues have seen that we’ve been busy this week, between the management team (Kev / Tick / Me) and Bob we have been working to get in players to strengthen the squad and improve it for the run in, below is a run down of the recent transfers:

Mike Langley – Michael made it known he was keen to rejoin the blues and when a player of his calibre becomes available you’d be a fool to miss out. He remains one of the best in the league so will give us headaches for first choice for the remainder of the season

Tom Clare – tom comes with a strong background. He is predominately a right back, likes to get forward and play football the right way. He comes highly recommended from our contacts higher up the pyramid so I’m looking forward to working with Tom.

Danny McDonnel (Frodo) – I’ve known Danny a while and he is a versatile defender who adds something I’ve felt we’ve been missing with regards to street smarts. He’s a very strong defender and will improve the back four where ever we deploy him.

Jack Banister – Jack has attract numerous recommendations from our local scouts. He can play on either wing or in the number ten role. He’s got great ability and I’m looking forward to seeing him in a blue shirt. He turned down many overtures from higher up the pyramid to join us.
Sam Riley – Sam leaves with our best wishes, he’s a top lad and a great player but has been limited to game time due to the form of our wide mean recently. He wants to play football so joins Sandbach for the rest of the season. I’m sure we’ll see Sam help them get promoted and hopefully we’ll see him in blue in the summer again.

Lee Duckworth – Winsford United Manager
