Player Profiles: Kerr, Taylor, Duckworth & Riley

Winsford Utd are delighted to announce Danny Kerr has signed for another season.

Where have you previously played?
Middlewich Town, otherwise mainly military teams. Currently the Royal Navy’s captain and captained the United Kingdom Armed Forces football team which is the best players out of all 3 services. Described as the pinnacle of any footballers career in the Armed Forces. We play in the Kentish cup (the oldest UEFA recognised cup in Europe). I’ve also played all over the world from Brazil to Australia.

What will you bring?
I’ll bring experience and energy to the team With a real will to win. A calming voice for the newer lads and an authoritative one when required. I strive to lead by example and will give everything every game.

Hopes for the season?
I hope for a good cup run, and to form a real togetherness in the changing room. Also to place higher in the league  than last season and give the fans something to cheer about. Hopefully we can start to play some exciting football. On a personal level, I just really want to enjoy my football.

Why Wufc?
I signed for WUFC as it’s my home club and a proper football club. The management shown trust in me last year and I want to help repay them. With me being in the Forces I do miss some training and some week day fixtures:  For ducko Kev and tick to still throw me in of a weekend means a lot.

Ducko says:
I’m chuffed DK is back on board. Last year he settled in very quickly and became a vital cog in our midfield. He has bundles of energy and is a classic box to box midfielder.

Winsford Utd are delighted to announce Scott Taylor has signed for another season.

Previous clubs?

Winsford United, Alsager, Congleton, Barnton and Middlewich Town.

What you’ll bring to WUFC?

I think a little experience, assists and hopefully a few goals.

What are your hopes for the season ahead?

With the squad we have I’m hoping for a top 6 finish and a good cup run like last year.

Why did you sign for WUFC?

Winsford United is my Hometown club so when the chance came around to play for them again I jumped at the chance. The manager has been a hero of mine since I was a ball boy so I signed to sit by him in the changing rooms.

Ducko says:
Scott is one of the most talented footballers in the league. He’s also one of the most loyal, Im sure he will go on to be a local legend and get his own stool in the Bees one day.

Winsford Utd are delighted to announce Joe Duckworth has signed for the Blues:

Previous clubs?

Just previously played youth football , played for Crewe Alex , Wigan Athletic , Davenham.

What will you bring?

I believe I’ll bring energy to the team and hopefully get us on the right end of some results.
Which we couldn’t quite get last seasons.
Hopes for the season?

Good  FA cup run like last year and FA vase run as well as a top half finish in the league which we should be achieving with the squad.

Why sign for Winsford?

Local club , known for giving younger players a opportunity throughout the season , great team spirit between all the lads. Plus the managers a top player so I can learn a lot

Ducko says:
Joes a bright young talent and this club has shown with the likes of Robbie Hatton that this is the place for lads to develop.

Winsford Utd are delighted to announce George Riley has signed for the Blues:

Previous clubs?

Hyde, New Mills, 1874 Northwich & Sandbach.

What will you bring?
On a personal level I would like to get as many assists as I can and as many goals as I can.

Hopes for the season?
Play as many games as I can and help the team climb the table.

Why sign for Winsford?

From the first pre season session I knew winsford was best for me the lads are class good banter and the coaching staff are class as well

Ducko says:
George has worked incredibly hard preseason and has shown a great attitude. I expect him to show what he can do this season.

Welcome to the club lads!
