Blues Last Line of Defence

Goalkeepers Michael Langley and Ross Heywood sign for the Blues.

Old Favourite Michael Langley – Lango

Previous clubs:
Colwyn bay, Prescot cables, cammell laird, alsager,  winsford, Warrington.

What will you bring:
I think I will bring valuable experience to alot of the young lads and hopefully help them along the way

Thoughts on last season?
I really enjoyed it here before I moved on to runcorn, the FA cup run was something I’ll never forget it was probably the best thing I’ve been involved in my career as an individual I was really happy with my performances last season and i hope I can do the same again if not better.

What about this season:

I hope we can finish as I high as we can and have more cup runs like last year and I’ll be happy

I chose winsford because it’s my hometown and mainly because of ducky I’ve played with lee for many years and he’s a top guy and I just hope we can bring him success and winsford because the club and fans deserve it

Ducko says:
Lango is top draw and has been one of the best in the league at this level for years. He probably should of got more league recognition for some of his performances in the first few months of the season last year. When I took the job two years ago I made it clear to the board it was a priority to get Michael on board which shows how highly I rate the guy. He’s good for the changing room as he demands the best of his defence.

New Boy – Ross Heywood

Previous clubs:
Played at Abbey Hey, Congleton town and cheadle in the north west counties

What will you bring:
Hopefully I’ll bring a few clean sheets although Tuesday night was a bad start weren’t it

What you looking for personally:
Hoping to get as many games under my belt as possible I’m expecting tough competition from lango but I’ll learn from him and ozzy and if I get a good run in the team I don’t see why we can’t push for a top 8 finish

Why wufc?
And I chose Winsford cos middy has a petrol card from work and I’m after a free lift all season! On a serious note I had a couple of offers elsewhere but after one training session it felt like the right club to develop and kick on

Ross has come in and done very well in training. He’s an excellent shot stopper. He’s settled in well with the group and it’s great to have two good keepers on board
